Three steps to play
Install the launcher
Run the installer after downloading. If your antivirus blocks it, choose "Allow" or add the install folder to its trusted list.
Sign in
Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft. The launcher keeps only a sign-in token, never your password.
Play
The first launch downloads the game and resources. After that only changed files are updated. Click "Play" to join.
FAQ
Can I join with another launcher (PCL, HMCL)?
No. The servers only accept join tickets issued by the StarCloud launcher. This keeps everyone's mods and resources identical and blocks cheat clients.
Do I need a paid Minecraft account?
Yes. You sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition.
Can I play on a phone or Mac?
Only Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) PCs are supported for now.
What PC do I need?
8 GB of RAM or more and a dedicated graphics card are recommended. You can change the game's memory in the launcher settings.
Slow downloads or failed updates?
Downloads resume where they stopped, so just click "Play" again. If it still fails, send feedback from "Support" in the launcher with the diagnostic log attached.
